ASHEVILLE, March 24, 2017 – USA Gymnastics inducts OSEGA owner and coach, Miles Avery, into the 2017 USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame Class, Friday, March 24, 2017.
Avery coached four Olympic teams (1996, 2000, 2004, 2008), and personally coached the first and only Mens Olympic All-Around Champion, Paul Hamm, as well as three-time Olympian, Blaine Wilson, two-time Olympian Morgan Hamm and 2004 Olympic alternate and 2008 Olympian, Raj Bhavsar.
Ohio State saw an NCAA title, five Big Ten championship, three NCAA all-around champions, nine NCAA event champions and 22 All Americans under Avery.
Accomplishments such as these led to various awards and accolades throughout his extensive career, including Assistant Coach of the Year, NCAA Coach of the Year, five Big Ten Coach of the year titles and USA Gymnastics Coach of the Year.

Wherever Avery goes, success follows. His fun but structured coaching style keeps the fun in gymnastics, while instilling core foundations in the athletes.
This huge honor is just another new beginning for Avery to take off and soar to new heights.
The formal induction takes place on Saturday, Aug. 19, in Anaheim, Calif., at the 2017 P&G Gymnastics Championships and the USA Gymnastics National Congress and Trade Show.
